AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
REHABILITATION PROJECT NO. 3 -15 CONCERNING 3208 WISCONSIN
STREET, BAYTOWN, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, TO SWANSON
INTERIOR DESIGN FOR THE SUM OF THIRTY -SEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT
HUNDRED SEVENTY -FIVE AND N01100 DOLLARS ($37,875.00);
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown's Community Development Program did advertise for bids for
Community Development Program Rehabilitation Project No. 03 -15 to be received August 15, 2003; and
WHEREAS, notice to all bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be
let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at the Community Development Office at
10:00 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2003, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Swanson
Interior Design for the sum of THIRTY -SEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY -FIVE AND
N0 1100 DOLLARS ($37,875.00) for Community Development Rehabilitation Project No. 03 -15, being the
reconstruction of 3208 Wisconsin Street, Baytown, Harris County, Texas, and authorizes payment thereof,
providing that final payment will not be made to said contractor until completion and acceptance of the
work by the owner and the Baytown Community Development Program.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of
