Ordinance No. 9,615ORMNANCE NO. 9615 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FORTY -FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTEEN AND 80/100 DOLLARS ($45,818.80) TO HOUSTON - GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 2003 FORD RANGER REGULAR CAB PICKUP TRUCK FOR THE BUILDING SERVICES DIVISION AND ONE (1) 2003 FORD F450 CREW CAB AND FLATBED TRUCK FOR THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown has approved an Interlocal Agreement which authorizes the Houston - Galveston Area Council to take bids for certain items on behalf of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, pursuant to such agreement, the Houston - Galveston Area Council has taken bids on one (1) Ford Ranger Regular Cab Pickup Truck for the Building Services Division and one (1) 2003 Ford F450 Crew Cab and Flatbed Truck for the Parks and Recreation Department; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment of FORTY -FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTEEN AND 80 /100 DOLLARS ($45,818.80) to the Houston - Galveston Area Council for the purchase of one (1) 2003 Ford Ranger Regular Cab Pickup Truck for the Building Services Division and one (1) 2003 Ford F450 Crew Cab and Flatbed Truck for the Parks and Recreation Department. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated §252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND AND NO/ 100 DOLLARS ($25,000.00) or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent (25 %) or decreased by more than twenty-five percent (25 %) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
