Ordinance No. 9,471ORDINANCE NO. 9471 • AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALL TEXAS DEMOLISHING FOR THE DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE SUM OF TWELVE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO 1100 DOLLARS ($12,650.00); MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. WHEREAS, the following structures in Baytown, Texas, were found to be dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare in public hearings held by the City of Baytown Urban Rehabilitation Standards Review Board: Address, 200 Gresham Garage Date 9/9/02 1218 Carnegie House 9/9/02 1514 Hawthorne House and garage 9/9/02 1508 Kilgore/Jones Mobile home 9/9/02 135 Heron Inlet N. Mobile home 9/9/02 WHEREAS, the City of Baytown submitted the proposed contract to demolish said structures at 200 Gresham, 1218 Carnegie, 1514 Hawthorne, 1508 Kilgore /Jones, and 135 Heron Inlet N., Baytown, Texas, to competitive bid by publishing notice of the time and place, when and where such contract would be awarded as provided by Texas Local Government Code Annotated § 252.041; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 24, 2002, as provided by said notice; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby accepts the bid of All Texas Demolishing for the demolition and removal of the structures at 200 Gresham, 1218 Carnegie, 1514 Hawthorne, 1508 Kilgore /Jones, and 135 Heron Inlet N., Baytown, Texas. Section 2: That the City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with All Texas Demolishing for the demolition and removal of said structures for the sum of TWELVE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY AND N01100 DOLLARS ($12,650.00).
