Ordinance No. 9,447ORDINANCE NO. 9447 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF ADVANCED MARKETING & SALES ASSOCIATES AND TAI AUDIO FOR THE PURCHASE OF SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT FOR THE HARRIS COUNTY ORGANIZED CRIME AND NARCOTICS TASK FORCE AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, THE SUM OF FORTY -THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FORTY -SEVEN AND NO 1100 DOLLARS ($43,947.00); MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING R)R TTNR FFF -Pr-r -rrA r0 DATE THEREOF. �� h yeh �r j(�/�(i'`�C k ,l v WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texa [ C o c Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purc t for the Harris County Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force 2002; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 252 of the Texas Local Government Code; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2002, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Advanced Marketing & Sales Associates for Item Nos. I and II of the bid for the purchase of surveillance equipment for the Harris County Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force for the sum of THIRTY -NINE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SIXTY -FIVE AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($39,165.00) and authorizes payment thereof. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Tai Audio for Item No. III of the bid for the purchase of surveillance equipment for the Harris County Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force for the sum of FOUR THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTY -TWO AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($4,782.00) and authorizes payment thereof. Section 3: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated § 252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($25,000.00) or less, subject to the provision that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent (25 %) or decreased by more than twenty-five percent (25 %) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. ® Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
