Ordinance No. 9,410ORDINANCE NO. 9410 ® AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALL TEXAS DEMOLISHING FOR THE DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE SUM OF ELEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY -FIVE AND NO 1100 DOLLARS ($11,575.00); MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. WHEREAS, the following structures in Baytown, Texas, were found to be dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare in public hearings held by the City of Baytown's Urban Rehabilitation Standards Review Board: and WHEREAS, the following structures in Baytown, Texas, were found to be dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare, and the owners have voluntarily agreed to allow the City to demolish the structures without the necessity of a public hearing before the City of Baytown's Urban Rehabilitation Standards Review Board. Such structures will be reconstructed under the Community Development Housing Rehabilitation Program: and WHEREAS, the City of Baytown submitted the proposed contract to demolish the structures located at 107 Burnett, 2101 West Main, 319 West Nazro, 1212 Magnolia and 1304 Willow, Baytown, Texas, to competitive bid by publishing notice of the time and place, when and where such contract would be awarded as provided by Texas Local Government Code Annotated § 252.041; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 a.m., August 19, 40 2002, as provided by said notice; NOW THEREFORE 9 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby accepts the bid of All Texas Demolishing for the demolition and removal of said structures. Section 2: That the City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with All Texas Demolishing for the demolition and removal of the above - mentioned structures for the sum of ELEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY - FIVE AND N01100 DOLLARS ($11,575.00). Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
