A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE AN APPLICATION TO THE
HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA LOCAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION'S (H-
GALDC) COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT GRANTS PROGRAM ON BEHALF OF
THE PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FOR THE
MARKET STREET CORRIDOR STREET IMPLEMENTATION; AUTHORIZING A
CASH MATCH IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY THOUSAND AND
NO:100 DOLLARS ($30,000.00); AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO
ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make an
application to the Houston -Galveston Area Local Development Corporation's (H-GALDC) Community
Enhancement Grants program on behalf of the Planning and Community Development Department for
the Market Street Corridor Street Implementation, in the amount of THIRTY THOUSAND AND NO./ 100
DOLLARS ($30,000.00).
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes a cash match in
an amount not to exceed THIRTY THOUSAND AND NO'100 DOLLARS ($30,000.00) pursuant to the
grant referenced in Section 1 hereof.
Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for
all purposes under the grant.
Section 4: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or
affirm any grant award that may result from the above application.
Section 5: That in the event of loss or misuse of the grant funds, the City Council of the City
of Baytown hereby assures the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas that such grant funds will be
returned in full.
Section 6: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
