Ordinance No. 9,211ORDINANCE NO. 9211 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED TAX RATE FOR TAX YEAR 2001; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section l: On the 4`h day of September, 2001, at 6:45 p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Baytown, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear and be heard on the proposed tax rate for tax year 2001. Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause the Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Increase in the form as prescribed in Section 26.06 of the Texas Property Tax Code to be published once in the newspaper having general circulation in the City not less than.seven days prior to the date of the public hearing and to be posted continuously on the City's website for at least seven days immediately before the public hearing. Such notice must in all respects be in full compliance with Sections 26.06 and 26.065 of the Texas Property Tax Code. Section 3: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause the Notice of Vote on Tax Rate in the form as prescribed in Section 26.06 of the Texas Property Tax Code to be published once in the newspaper having general circulation in the City not less than seven days prior to the date of the vote on the tax rate and to be posted continuously on the City's website for at least seven days immediately before the vote on the tax rate. The meeting to vote on the tax increase may not be earlier than the third day or later than the 14th day after the date of the public hearing. The notice concerning the vote on the tax rate must in all respects be in full compliance with Sections 26.06 and 26.065 of the Texas Property Tax Code. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
