Ordinance No. 9,181ORDINANCE NO. 9181 ® AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALL TEXAS DEMOLISHING FOR THE DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE SUM OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FORTY -TWO AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($15,942.00); MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. WHEREAS, the following structures in Baytown, Texas, were found to be dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare in public hearings held by the City of Baytown Urban Rehabilitation Standards Review Board: Address 1316 Elm Residential structure Date of Aril 2, 2001 1504 Oak Residential structure Aril 2, 2001 315 E. Defee Residential structure Aril 2, 2001 605 Harding Residential structure Aril 2, 2001 3229 '/2 Iowa Garage apartment February 5, 2001 3411 Illinois Residential structure and apartment April 2, 2001 1907 Texoma Residential structure May 7, 2001 508 Bolster Residential structure and apartment January 8, 2001 WHEREAS, the City of Baytown submitted the proposed contract to demolish said structures at 1316 Elm, 1504 Oak, 315 E. Defee, 605 Harding, 3229 1/2 Iowa, 3411 Illinois, 1907 Texoma and 508 Bolster, Baytown, Texas, to competitive bid by publishing notice of the time and place, when and where such contract would be awarded as provided by Texas Local Government Code Annotated § 252.041; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 a.m., June 18, 2001, as provided by said notice; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby accepts the bid of All Texas Demolishing for the demolition and removal of the structures at 1316 Elm, 1504 Oak, 315 E. Defee, 605 Harding, 3229 %2 Iowa, 3411 Illinois, 1907 Texoma and 508 Bolster, Baytown, Texas. Section 2: That the City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with All Texas Demolishing for the demolition and removal of said structures for the sum of FIFTEEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FORTY -TWO AND ® NO /100 DOLLARS ($15,942.00) ® Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
