® AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF DURRETT DEMOLITION FOR
THE DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
CONTRACT FOR THE SUM OF SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TEN
AND NO /100.DOLLARS ($6,810.00); MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT.
WHEREAS, the following structures in Baytown, Texas, were found to be dilapidated,
substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare in a public hearing held on
November 1, 1999, by the City of Baytown Urban Rehabilitation Standards Review Board:

WHEREAS, the City of Baytown submitted the proposed contract to demolish said
structures at 208 E. Murrill, 1012 Sunset and 1236 Cherry, Baytown, Texas, to competitive bid by
publishing notice of the time and place, when and where such contract would be awarded as
provided by Texas Local Government Code Annotated § 252.041; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 a.m. on
December 10, 1999, as provided by said notice; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council hereby finds that the structures at 208 E. Murrill, 1012
Sunset and 1236 Cherry, Baytown, Texas are dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public
health, safety and welfare and need to be demolished.
Section 2: That the City Council hereby accepts the bid of Durrett Demolition for the
demolition and removal of the structures at 208 E. Murrill, 1012 Sunset and 1236 Cherry, Baytown,
Texas.
Section 3: That the City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute and attest to a contract with Durrett Demolition for the demolition and removal of said
structures for the sum of SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TEN AND NO /100 DOLLARS
($6,810.00).
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
