Ordinance No. 8,618990624 -12 ORDINANCE NO. 8618 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALL TEXAS DEMOLITION FOR THE DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES LOCATED AT 315 N. MAIN, 117 E. TEXAS AND 410 S. FOURTH; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE SUM OF THIRTY - ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN AND NO/] 00 DOLLARS ($31,317.00); MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. WHEREAS, three certain structures at 315 N. Main, 117 E. Texas and 410 S. Fourth, Baytown, Texas were found to be dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare in a public hearing held June 7, 1999 by the City of Baytown Urban Standards Board; and WHEREAS, the City of Baytown submitted the proposed contract to demolish certain structures at 315 N. Main, 117 E. Texas and 410 S. Fourth,.Baytown, Texas, to competitive bid by publishing notice of the time and place, when and where such contract would.be awarded as provided by Texas Local Government Code Annotated § 252.041; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 a.m., June 7, 1999, as provided by said notice; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby finds that the structures at 315 N. Main, 117 E. Texas and 410 S. Fourth, Baytown, Texas are dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare and need to be demolished. Section 2: That the City Council hereby accepts the bid of All Texas Demolition for the demolition and removal of the structures at 315 N. Main, 117 E. Texas and 410 S. Fourth, Baytown, Texas. Section 3: That the City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with All Texas Demolition for the demolition and removal of said structure for the sum of THIRTY -ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN AND NO/] 00 DOLLARS ($31,317.00). Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
