ORDINANCE NO. 8507
® AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOHN W. HOLLAWAY IN THE AMOUNT
OF FIVE THOUSAND ONE AND N01100 DOLLARS ($5,001.00) FOR THE SALE OF
LOT 25 OF BAYOU ACRES, BAYTOWN, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, the City of Baytown, Texas, sought competitive bids for the sale of Lot 25 of Bayou
Acres, Baytown, Harris County, Texas (the "Property); and
WHEREAS, an opportunity for open competition was given pursuant to the provisions of Section 73
of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 11,
1999; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of John W.
Hollaway in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND ONE AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($5,001.00) for the sale of
Lot 25 of Bayou Acres, Baytown, Harris County, Texas, which amount is in excess of the market value of the
Property.
Section 2: That the Mayor of the City of Baytown, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to
execute the Quitclaim Deed for the sale of the aforementioned property. A copy of said Quitclaim Deed is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of
Baytown this the 28h day of January, 1999.

THAT TRANSFEROR, CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, a municipal corporation
located in Harris and Chambers County, Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of FIVE
THOUSAND ONE AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($5,001.00) and other good and valuable
consideration paid to the undersigned by the TRANSFEREE named in this instrument, the
receipt and sufficiency of which are acknowledged, HAVE QUITCLAIMED, and by this
instrument DO "QUITCLAIM to the TRANSFEREE, JOHN W. HOLLAWAY all of
TRANSFEROR'S right, title, and interest in and to that certain real estate, referred to 'in this
instrument as the "Property," lying and being situated in Harris County, Texas, more particularly
described as follows:
Lot Twenty -Five (25) of Bayou Acres, in the Elton D. Casey Subdivision, out of.
the Christian Smith Survey, an addition in Harris County, Texas, according to the
map or plat thereof recorded in Volume 725, Page 594 of the Deed Records of
Harris County, Texas
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all of TRANSFEROR'S right, title and interest in and to
these premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges, and appurtenances to the
premises in any manner belonging to the TRANSFEREE, its successors and assigns forever, so
that neither TRANSFEROR nor TRANSFEROR'S successors and assigns shall have, claim, or
demand any right or title to the property described above, premises, or appurtenances, or any part
of that property.
This conveyance is made and accepted subject to all restrictions, reservations, covenants,
conditions, rights -of -way, and easements of record, enforceable and binding on TRANSFEROR
on this date, if any, affecting the above- described property.
