ORDINANCE NO. 8429
® AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FROM COMMUNITIES
FOUNDATION OF TEXAS FOR THE GOOSE CREEK STREAM DEVELOPMENT
FUND; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE SAID DEED WITH THE COUNTY
CLERK OF HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF THE SUM
OF ONE THOUSAND THIRTY -EIGHT AND 25 /100 DOLLARS ($1,038.25) FOR THE
PURCHASE OF THE PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, authorizes the purchase of
certain property from Communities Foundation of Texas for the Goose Creek Stream Development Fund,
the owner of the property as described in Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: That the City Clerk is hereby directed to file the deed with the County Clerk of
Harris County, Texas.
Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes payment of the sum
of ONE THOUSAND THIRTY -EIGHT AND 25/100 DOLLARS ($1,038.25) to Communities Foundation
of Texas for the Goose Creek Stream Wetlands Education and Recreation Center.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ AND PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of

THAT GRANTOR COMMUNITIES FOUNDATION OF TEXAS, INC., a corporation
located in Dallas County in the State of Texas, and owner of the below- described real property, for and
in consideration of the sum of ONE THOUSAND THIRTY -EIGHT AND 25/100 DOLLARS
($1,038.25) and other good and valuable consideration paid by the GRANTEE herein named, the receipt
and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged and confessed, has GRANTED, SOLD and
CONVEYED and by these presents does hereby GRANT, SELL and CONVEY unto the GRANTEE,
CITY OF BAYTOWN, a municipal corporation, of the Counties of Harris and Chambers and the State
of Texas, its successors and assigns, that certain real property located in Harris County, Texas, more
particularly described in Exhibit "A," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents
and purposes.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above - described premises, together with all and singular the
rights and appurtenances thereto in any wise belonging unto the said CITY OF BAYTOWN, its
successors and assigns forever, in fee simple absolute.
GRANTOR does hereby bind itself, its successors and assigns to WARRANT and FOREVER
DEFEND, the said premises unto the said CITY OF BAYTOWN, its successors and assigns, against
every person whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by, through or
under GRANTOR, but not otherwise.
This conveyance is made and accepted subject to all restrictions, reservations, covenants,
conditions, rights -of -way and easements of record, enforceable and binding on GRANTOR on this date,
if any, affecting the above - described property.

Upper League, Abstract No. 66, Harris County, Texas, and being
out of and a part of a 6.333 acre tract of land conveyed to the
Communities Foundation of Texas, Inc., by Northshore lanes, Inc.,
by deed dated March 19, 1993, and recorded at County Clerk's File
