ORDINANCE NO. 8366
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILLIAM 0, WALLACE, JR., IN THE
® AMOUNT OF ONE THOUSAND FIFTY -ONE AND NO/] 00 DOLLARS ($1,051.00) FOR
THE SALE OF TRACT 15 -7A, ABSTRACT 22, C. SMITH SURVEY, BAYTOWN,
CHAMBERS COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown, Texas, sought competitive bids for the sale of a 0.14 acre tract of land
adjacent to Lincoln Cedars Subdivision, more particularly described as Tract 15 -7A, Abstract 22, C. Smith
Survey, Baytown, Chambers County, Texas (the "Property"), which was used as the location of a water well
prior to being purchased by the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, the improvements on the Property have been removed and the City of Baytown no longer
has a use for the same; and
WHEREAS, an opportunity for open competition was given pursuant to the provisions of Section 73 of
the Charter of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 1998;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of William O.
Wallace, Jr., in the amount of ONE THOUSAND FIFTY -ONE AND NO/] 00 DOLLARS ($1,051.00) for the
sale of Tract 15 -7A, Abstract 22, C. Smith Survey, Baytown, Chambers County, Texas, which amount is in
excess of the market value.of the Property.
Section 2: That the Mayor of the City of Baytown, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to
execute the Quitclaim Deed for the sale of the aforementioned property. A copy of said Quitclaim Deed is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of
Baytown this the 13'h day of August, 1998.

THAT GRANTOR, CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, a municipal corporation located in Harris
and Chambers Counties, Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE THOUSAND FIFTY -ONE
AND NO 1100 DOLLARS (S 1,051.00) and other good and valuable consideration paid to the undersigned
by the Grantee named in this instrument, the receipt and sufficiency of which are acknowledged, HAVE
QUITCLAIMED, and by this instrument DO QUITCLAIM to the Grantee, WILLIAM O. WALLACE,
JR., all of GRANTOR'S right, title, and interest in and to that certain real estate, referred to in this
instrument as the "Property," lying and being situated in Chambers County, Texas, more particularly
described as follows:
Being a 0.14 acre tract of land out of a 3.42 acre tract of land as recorded in Volume 215,
Page 329, of the Deed Records of Chambers County, Texas as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the said 3.42 acre tract of land,
same being the Southeast and beginning corner of the tract herein described.
THENCE South 78 deg. 51 min. West a distance of 60.0 feet along the
South line of the said 3.42 acre tract of land to an iron pipe for the
Southwest corner of the tract herein described.
THENCE North 1 I deg. 07 min. West a distance of 106.69 feet to an iron
pipe for the Northwest corner of the tract herein described.
THENCE North 81 deg. 20 min. East a distance of 60.0 feet to an iron pipe
for the Northeast corner of the tract herein described.
THENCE South I 1 deg. 09 min. East a distance of 104.10 feet along the
East line of the said 3.42 acre tract of land to the PLACE OF BEGINNING
and containing 0.14 acres of land.
SUBJECT to easements, reservations and restrictions of record, if any,
affecting the above - described tract of land.
This conveyance is further made subject to the reservation by W.J. Moreau of all of the oil,
gas and other minerals in and under and that may be taken from said tract of land (1/2 of the
minerals having heretofore been reserved in a deed of an undivided '/z interest from W.J.
Moreau to H.H. Houseman).

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all of -GRANTOR'S right, title and interest in and to these premises,
together with all and singular the rights, privileges, and appurtenances to the premises in any manner
belonging to the Grantee(s), [his or her or their] heirs and assigns forever, so that neither GRANTOR nor
GRANTOR'S heirs, legal representatives, nor any person(s) claiming under GRANTOR shall at any time
in the future have, claim, or demand any right or title to the property described above, premises, or
appurtenances, or any part of that property.
This conveyance is made and accepted subject to all restrictions, reservations, covenants,
conditions, rights -of -way, and easements of record, enforceable and binding on GRANTOR on this date, if
any, affecting the"above- described property.
