Ordinance No. 8,319980625 -6 OkDINANCE NO. 8319 ® AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CINDY LYNNE COON IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY -FIVE AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($175.00) FOR THE SALE OF SECTION 1, LOT 22A, ABBE SUBDIVISION, BAYTOWN, CHAMBERS COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the City of Baytown, Texas, sought competitive bids for the sale of a 14' x 14' tract of land, more particularly described as Section 1,!Lot 22A, Abbe Subdivision, Baytown, Chambers County, Texas (the "Property "), which was formerly used by the City of Baytown as a water system for the Abbe Subdivision; and WHEREAS, the improvements on the Property have been removed and the City of Baytown no longer has a use for the same; and WHEREAS, an opportunity for open competition was given pursuant to the provisions of Section 73 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 1998; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Cindy Lynne Coon in the amount of ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY -FIVE AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($175.00) for the sale of Section 1, Lot 22A, Abbe Subdivision, Baytown, Chambers County, Texas, which amount is in excess of the market value of the Property. Section 2: That the Mayor of the City of Baytown, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Quitclaim Deed for the sale of the aforementioned property. A copy of said Quitclaim Deed is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown. Abbe, et al, to Leon D. Jamison by a deed dated January 8, 1958, recorded in Volume 201, Page 117 of the Deed Records of Chambers County, Texas, to which plat and deed and the record thereof reference is here made for all purposes. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all of GRANTOR'S right, title and interest in and to these premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges, and appurtenances to the premises in any manner belonging to the Grantee(s), [his or her or their] heirs and assigns forever, so that neither GRANTOR nor GRANTOR'S heirs, legal representatives, nor any person(s) claiming under GRANTOR shall at any time in the future have, claim, or demand any right or title to the property described above, premises, or appurtenances, or any part of that property.
