Ordinance No. 8,003ORDINANCE NO. 8003 970626 -1 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING THE AMENDMENT OF THE BOUNDARY OF ENTERPRISE ZONE NO, 1 TO INCLUDE 5.69 ACRES BOUNDED BY ALEXANDER DRIVE, KNOWLTON STREET AND NOLAN ROAD; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING AND TO SEND THE SAME TO THE PRESIDING OFFICER OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF EACH OF THE AFFECTED TAXING UNITS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: On the 10`I' day of July, 1997, at 6:40 p.m. in the John Tucker Hail at Lee College, 200 Lee Drive, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear and be heard on the amendment of the boundary of Enterprise Zone No.] to include 5.69 acres bounded by Alexander Drive, Knowlton Street and Nolan Road. The boundaries of Enterprise Zone No. I as proposed are more particularly described in Exhibit "A," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes. Section 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of the public hearing to be published once in the newspaper having general circulation in the City of Baytown not less than seven (7) days prior to the date of the public hearing. Further, the City Clerk is authorized and directed and to send such notice to the presiding officer of the governing bodies of each of the affected taxing units. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
