Ordinance No. 7,941970327 -13 ORDINANCE NO. 7941 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF SIXTEEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED Is SIXTY -FIVE AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($16,465.00) TO THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION RESOURCES FOR THE PURCHASE OF SOFTWARE FOR HARRIS COUNTY ORGANIZED CRIME AND NARCOTICS TASK FORCE; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown has approved an Interlocal Agreement which authorizes the Department of Information Resources to take bids for certain items on behalf of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, pursuant to such agreement, the Department of Information Resources has taken bids for the purchase of software for Harris County Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force ( "HCOCNTF "); NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment of SIXTEEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY -FIVE AND NO/] 00 DOLLARS ($16,465.00) to the Department of Information Resources for the purchase of software for HCOCNTF. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated §252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTEEN THOUSAND AND NO/ 100 DOLLARS ($15,000.00) or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty -five percent (25 %) or decreased by more than twenty-five percent (25 %) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
