ORDINANCE NO. 7665
AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC
HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF THE PROPOSED SITE OF
RON CRAFT CHRYSLER JEEP EAGLE AT 5225 INTERSTATE] 0;.DIRECTING .
THE PREPARATION OF A'SERVICE PLAN; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: On the 11 th day of April, 1996, at 6:35 o'clock p.m, and at 6:50 o'clock p.m., in
the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Baytown, Texas, the City Council will hold public
hearings giving all interested parties the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by
the City of Baytown, Texas, of the property described in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: In compliance with Texas Local Government Code Annotated § 43.056, as
amended, the Planning Department is hereby directed to prepare a service plan that provides for the
extension of municipal service into the area described in Exhibit "A."
Section 3: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause
notice of each public hearing to be published once in the newspaper having general circulation in the
City and in the above described territory not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days
prior to the date of each public hearing, all in accordance with Texas Local Government Code
Annotated § 43.052. '
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City

FIELD NOTES of 6.195 acres of land situated in the George Ellis
Survey, Abstract No. 21, Harris County, Texas, and being out of
and a part of the following tracts of land:
1. 80 acres. described in a deed from William F. Miller, Sr. to
Robert L. Gillette, Trustee dated April 1, 1977 and recorded
at County Clerk's File Number F101735 of the Official Public
Records of Real Property of Harris County, Texas.
2. That tract of land described in Substitute Trustee's Deed
dated October 3, 1995, form John J. Talton, Substitute
Trustee, to Citizens Bank and Trust Company of Baytown,
Texas, recorded at County Clerk's File Number R610487 of the
Official Public Records of Real Property of Harris County,
Texas.
This 6.195 acre tract of land is more particularly described by
metes and bounds as to follow -wit:

LINE OF GARTH ROAD, AS PER DEED'RECORDED AT THE FILE CLERK'S
NUMBER R610487 IN THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC RECORDS OF REAL PROPERTY OF
HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. REFERENCE IS MADE TO PLAT OF EVEN DATE
ACCOMPANYING THIS METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION.
COMMENCING at a 1/2 inch iron rod set for the"Southeast corner of
Item No. 1 above, the Southeast corner of Item No. 2 above, and
the Southwest corner of a 30 acre tract of land conveyed to Harry
N. Holmes, Trustee by Edwin L. Bruhl, Trustee by deed dated
February 20, 1970, and recorded in Volume 7918 at Page 580 of the
Deed Records of Harris County, Texas, this corner is in the North
right -of -way line of Interstate Highway.Number 10, 300 foot
right-of-way.
THENCE South 76 deg 29 min 43 sec West with the South line of
Item's No.-1 and-2 above; and -the North Right -of -Way line of
Interstate-No. 10, a distance of 424.84 feet to a 1/2 inch iron
rod set for the Southeast ''corner of this tract of land and the
PLACE OF BEGINNING.
THENCE South 76 deg 29 min 43 sec West with the South line of
Item's No-1 and 2 above, and the North Right -of -Way line of
Interstate No. 10, a distance of 450.00 feet to a concrete right
of way monument found-.for the Southwest corner of this tract of
land and the most.Southern Southwest corner of Item No. 2 above
and the Southeast corner of a 0.8350 of an acre tract of land
conveyed to N. H. Conder by V. C. Conder by deed dated July 1,
1987, and recorded at County Clerk's File Number L325398 of
Official Public Records of Real Property of Harris County, Texas.
