ORDINANCE NO. 7443
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FROM
• COMMUNITIES FOUNDATION OF TEXAS FOR THE GOOSE CREEK
STREAM DEVELOPMENT FUND; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE
SAID DEED WITH THE COUNTY CLERK OF HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS;
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT UP TO THE SUM OF TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND
AND N01100 DOLLARS ($25,000.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE
PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section '1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, authorizes the purchase of certain property from Communities
Foundation of Texas for the Goose Creek Stream Development Fund,
the owner of the property as described in Exhibit "A," and made a
part hereof for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to file the deed
with the County Clerk of Harris County, Texas.
Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby authorizes payment up to the sum of TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND AND
N01100 DOLLARS ($25,000.00) to Communities Foundation of Texas for
the Goose Creek Stream Development Fund for the purchase of the
property.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from
and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown this the 24th day of October,
1995.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
BEING a 9.0564 acre tract of land situated in the William Scott
Upper League, Abstract No. 66, Harris County, Texas, and being out
of and a part of a tract of land called Block "A" on the partition
map dated February 27, 1908, and filed in Cause No. 43,828, styled
Grace Adey vs. J. A. Gillette, et, al, in the District Court of
Harris County, Texas, 11th Judicial District, the award of the
commissioner's in said partition being dated March 26, _ 1.908, and the
judgement approving same being dated April 2, 1908, and filed for
record under County Clerk's File No. C744516, Harris County, Texas,
and out of and a part of a tract of land called Block "B "on the
partition map dated February 27, 1908, and filed in Cause No.
43,828, styled Grace Adey vs. J. A. Gillette, et al, in the
District Court of Harris County, Texas, 11th Judicial District, the
award of the commissioners in said partition being dated March 26,
1908, and the judgement approving same being dated April 2, 1908,
and filed for record under County Clerk's File No. C744516, Harris
County, Texas, and being out of and a part of that certain 12.5
acre tract of land conveyed to Eugene Branscome by deed recorded in
Volume 7285 at Page 37 of the Deed Records of Harris County, Texas,
and being all of a 50 foot street called Missouri Street on plat
recorded in Volume 160 at Page 6 of the Map Records of Harris
County, Texas. This 9.0564 acre tract of land is more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at a'1/2 inch iron rod at the intersection of North right
of way of said 50 foot Missouri Street and the East right of way
line of Arizona Street at the Southwest corner of CARRIAGE HOUSE
PHASE I as shown on plat recorded in Volume 160 at Page 6 of the
Map Records of Harris County, Texas.
THENCE South 62 deg 00 min 00 sec .East with the North line of this
tract and the South line of the Carriage House Phase I a distance
of 376.59 feet to a point for a corner of this tract of land.
THENCE North 28 deg 00 min 00 sec East with the West line of this
tract of land a distance of 350.00 feet to a point for a corner of
this tract of land 10 feet South of the edge of a concrete tennis
court.
THENCE South 62 deg 09 min 11 sec East with the North line of this
tract of land 10 feet South of and parallel to the South edge of
said tennis court a distance of 118.73 feet to a point for an
interior corner of this tract of land.
THENCE North 29 deg 16 min 09 sec East with the West line of this
tract 10 feet East of and parallel to the East edge of said tennis
court a distance of 140.60 feet to a point for a corner of this
