ORDINANCE NO. 7424
® AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF
THE HARRIS COUNTY ORGANIZED CRIME AND NARCOTICS TASK
FORCE TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH 314 BUILDING
PARTNERSHIP, LTD.; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, THE SUM OF NINE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY AND
NO 1100 DOLLARS ($9,840.00) ; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS
RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby authorizes and directs the Director of the Harris
County Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force to execute a Lease
Agreement with 314 Building Partnership, Ltd. A copy of said
agreement is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A," and made a part
hereof for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
authorizes payment to 314 Building Partnership, Ltd. of the sum of
NINE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY AND N01100 DOLLARS ($9,840.00),
pursuant to the Agreement.
Section 3: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local
Government Code Annotated § 252.048, the City Manager is hereby
granted general authority to approve any change order involving a
decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTEEN THOUSAND AND N01100
DOLLARS ($15,000.00) or less, subject to the provision that the
original contract price may not be increased by more than
twenty -five (250) or decreased by more than twenty -five (2511)
percent without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from
and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown this the 28th day of September,
1995.

Lessee: Houston HIDTA Task Force
333 West Loop North, Suite 100
Houston, Texas 77024
Leased Premises: Twenty (20) parking spaces on the east end of
the parking lot known as 314 North Post Oak
Lane.
Lease Term: Twelve (12) Months
Lease Cost: $41.00 per space, per month or $9,840.00 per
year payable in advance.
Commencement Date: July 1, 1995
Cancellation: Lessee has the right to cancel this lease
partially or totally by notifying Lessor and
forfeiting any remaining balance.
Lessor has the right to cancel this lease
partially or totally by giving the lessee a 30-
day notice and returning any remaining rent on
the lease.
Other Conditions: Cost of additional signage or parking lot
striping will be paid by Lessee.
Agreed: Harris County Organized Crime and Narcotic Task
Force on behalf of the city of Baytown agrees
to lease the parking spaces for the Houston
HIDTA Task Force.
