ORDINANCE NO. 7195
• AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
ADDING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO COUNCIL DISTRICT NO. 4;
REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; CONTAINING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. (Pilot Travel Center)
WHEREAS, Section 17(1) of the Charter of the City of Baytown
provides that the City Council shall redistrict the City if the
growth of the City justifies; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed
territory described herein in a Council District; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: Council District No. 4 is hereby redistricted by
the addition of certain property which is described on the attached
Exhibit "A."
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent
with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided
however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such
inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be
cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject
matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection,
paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or the
application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall
for any reason be held unconstitutional, void or invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining
provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons
or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten
(10) days from its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is
hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of
this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the
City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after passage
of this ordinance.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown this the 13th day of December,
1994.

FIELD NOTES of a 6.1395 acre tract of land situated in the George
C. Davis Survey, Abstract Number 1472, Harris County, Texas and
being out of and a part of a 23.304 acre tract of land conveyed to
Ten Main, Ltd. by Troy J. Casey, et ux by deed dated December 11,
1969 and recorded in Volume 7848 at Page 364 of the Deed Records of
Harris County, Texas and a 5.942 acre tract of land conveyed to Ten
Hain, Ltd. by Robert L. Downing, et ux by deed dated December 11,
1969 and recorded in Volume 7848 at Page 370 of the Deed Records of
Harris County, Texas. This 6.1395 acre tract of land is more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit:
MOTE: ALL BEARINGS ARE LAMBERT GRID BEARINGS AND ALL COORDINATES
REFER TO THE STATE PLANE COORDINATE SYSTEM, SOUTH CENTRAL ZONE,
1927 DATUM, AS DEFINED IN ARTICLE 5300A OF THE REVISED CIVIL
STATUTES OF THE STATE OF TEXAS. REFERENCE IS MADE TO THE PLAT OF
EVEN DATE ACCOMPANYING THIS DESCRIPTION.
BEGINNI'N'G at a 1/2 inch iron rod set for the Northwest corner of
this tract of land, in the North line of said 23.304 acre tract and
the intersection of the South right of way line of Interstate
Highway Number 10 (336 feet wide) and the East right of way line of
North Main Street (100 feet wide), This BEGINNING corner has a
State Plane Coordinate Value of Y = 739,781.89 and
X = 3,279,453.11. From this corner a 1/2 inch iron rod found for
the intersection of the South line of Interstate Highway Number 10
and the West line of North Main Street bears South 78 deg. 04 min.
55 sec. West a distance of 100.00 feet.
THENCE North 78 deg. 04 min. 55 sec. East with the North line of
this tract of land, the North line of said 23.304 acre tract and
the South right of way line of Interstate Highway Number 10, at
326.70 feet the Northwest corner of said 5.942 acre tract, in all
a total distance of 428.95 feet to a concrete right of way monument
found for a corner of this tract of land, a corner of said 5.942
acre tract and an angle point in the South right of way line of
Interstate Highway Number 10.
THENCE North 70 deg. 01 min. 25 sec. East with the North line of
this tract of land, the North line of said 5.942 acre tract and the
South right of way line of Interstate Highway Number 10 a distance
of 0.97 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod set for the Northeast corner of
this tract of land.
THENCE over and across said 5.942 acre tract South 12 deg. 51 min.
03 sec. East with the East line of this tract of land, at :17.28
feet the South line of said 5.942 acre tract and the most Southerly
:Forth line of said 23.304 acre tract, in all a total distance of
617.97 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod set for the Southeast corner of
• this tract of land.

THENCE South 77 deg. 08 min. 57 sec. West with the South line of
• this tract of land a distance of 436.00 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod
set for the Southwest corner of this tract of land. This corner is
on a curve in the East right of way line of North Main Street.
THENCE in a Northerly direction with the West line of this tract of
land and the East right of way line of North Main Street, a curve
to the right (concave to the East) having a central angle of 00
deg. 25 min. 42 sec., a radius of 2202.50 feet, an arc length of
16.47 feet and a chord of North 09 deg. 14 min. 48 sec. West a
distance of 16.47 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod found for a point of
reverse curve in the East line of this tract of land and the East
right of way line of North Main Street.
THENCE in a Northerly direction with the West line of this tract of
land and the East right of way line of North Main Street, a curve
to the left (concave to the West) having a central angle of 03 deg.
49 min. 06 sec., a radius of 2302.50 feet, an arc length of 153.44
feet and a chord of North 10 deg. 56 min. 30 sec. West a distance
of 153.42 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod found for a point of tangency
in the West line of this tract of land and the East right of way
line of North Main Street.
THENCE North 12 deg. 51 min. 03 sec. West with the West line of
this tract of land and the East right of way line of North Main
Street a distance of 455.07 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING,
containing within said boundaries 6.1395 acres of land, more or
less.
