Ordinance No. 7,180941121 -15 ORDINANCE NO. 7180 • AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY PHIL KENSINGER ON ACCOUNT NUMBER 059 - 150 -019 -0030 FOR TAX YEARS 1990, 1991, 1992, & 1993 WAS EXCESSIVE; APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY -SEVEN AND 56/100 DOLLARS ($4,887.56); AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, Phil Kensinger has applied for a refund of an overpayment of taxes on account number 059 -150- 019 -0030 for tax years 1990, 1991, 1992, & 1993 alleging a substantial error in the appraisal records, and WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account number 059 - 150-019 -0030 were incorrect and has corrected the records to conform them to the requirements of law; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has determined that the payment of taxes on account number 059 - 150- 019 -0030 for tax years 1990, 1991, 1992, & 1993 by Phil Kensinger was excessive in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY -SEVEN AND 56/100 DOLLARS ($4,887.56) ; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and authorizes payment of FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY -SEVEN AND 56/100 DOLLARS ($4,887.56) to Phil Kensinger as a refund of the excessive payment of taxes on account number 059 -150- 019 -0030 for tax years 1990, 1991, 1992, & 1993. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
