ORDINANCE NO. 7180
• AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY
PHIL KENSINGER ON ACCOUNT NUMBER 059 - 150 -019 -0030 FOR
TAX YEARS 1990, 1991, 1992, & 1993 WAS EXCESSIVE;
APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF FOUR THOUSAND
EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY -SEVEN AND 56/100 DOLLARS
($4,887.56); AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Phil Kensinger has applied for a refund of an
overpayment of taxes on account number 059 -150- 019 -0030 for tax
years 1990, 1991, 1992, & 1993 alleging a substantial error in the
appraisal records, and
WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County
Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account
number 059 - 150-019 -0030 were incorrect and has corrected the
records to conform them to the requirements of law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,
has determined that the payment of taxes on account number
059 - 150- 019 -0030 for tax years 1990, 1991, 1992, & 1993 by Phil
Kensinger was excessive in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT
HUNDRED EIGHTY -SEVEN AND 56/100 DOLLARS ($4,887.56) ; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and
authorizes payment of FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY -SEVEN AND
56/100 DOLLARS ($4,887.56) to Phil Kensinger as a refund of the
excessive payment of taxes on account number 059 -150- 019 -0030 for
tax years 1990, 1991, 1992, & 1993.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from
and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown this the 21st day of November,
1994.
