Ordinance No. 7,177ORDINANCE NO. 7177 941121 -12 AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY N P ENTERPRISES DOING BUSINESS AS TIRE WAREHOUSE OF TEXAS ON ACCOUNT NUMBER 046 -916 -6 FOR THE TAX YEAR 1990 WAS EXCESSIVE; APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND 52/100 DOLLARS ($1,300.52); AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, N P Enterprises doing business as Tire Warehouse of Texas has applied for a refund of an overpayment of taxes on account number 046 -916 -6 for the tax year 1990 alleging a substantial error in the appraisal records; and WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account number 046 -916 -6 were incorrect and has corrected the records to conform them to the requirements of law; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has determined that the payment of taxes on account number 046 -916 -6 for the tax year 1990 by N P Enterprises doing business as Tire Warehouse of Texas was excessive in the amount of ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND 52/100 DOLLARS ($1,300.52); NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and authorizes payment of ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND 52/100 DOLLARS ($1,300.52) to N P Enterprises doing business as Tire Warehouse of Texas as a refund of the excessive payment of taxes on account number 046 -916 -6 for the tax year 1990. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
