Ordinance No. 7,113940922 -20 ORDINANCE NO. 7113 • AN ORDINANCE RENEWING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE WORKER'S COMPENSATION JOINT INSURANCE FUND TO PROVIDE WORKER'S COMPENSATION BENEFITS TO CITY EMPLOYEES; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN FOR MONTHLY CLAIMS AS INCURRED, ADJUST ESCROW NECESSARY TO MEET SIXTY (60) DAYS AVERAGE CLAIMS REQUIREMENT AND PROJECTED PAYMENT OF FIFTY -SEVEN THOUSAND AND N01100 DOLLARS ($57,000.00) FOR SERVICE CHARGES; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby approves renewal of the Interlocal Agreement with the Texas Municipal League Worker's Compensation Joint Insurance Fund to provide worker's compensation benefits for city employees. Section 2: The City Council hereby authorizes payment to the Texas Municipal League Worker's Compensation Joint Insurance Fund for monthly claims as incurred, adjust escrow necessary to meet sixty (60) days average claims requirement and projected payment of FIFTY -SEVEN THOUSAND AND N01100 DOLLARS ($57,000.00) for service charges. Section 3: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated S 252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTEEN THOUSAND AND N01100 DOLLARS ($15,000.00) or less, subject to the provision that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty -five (25 %) or decreased by more than twenty -five (25 %) percent without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
