ORDINANCE NO. 7040
• AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY
RANDALLS CENTER BAYTOWN ON ACCOUNT NUMBER
116 - 594 -000 -0001 FOR THE TAX YEAR 1993 WAS EXCESSIVE;
APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF ONE THOUSAND
SEVENTEEN AND 10 /100 DOLLARS ($1,017.10); AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Randalls Center - Baytown has applied for a refund of
an overpayment of taxes on account number 116- 594 -000 -0001 for the
tax year 1993 alleging a substantial error in the appraisal
records; and
WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County
Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account
number 116- 594 - 000 -0001 were incorrect and has corrected the
records to conform them to the requirements of law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has
determined that the payment of taxes on account number
116- 594 -000 -0001 for the tax year 1993 by Randalls Center - Baytown
was excessive in the amount of ONE THOUSAND SEVENTEEN AND 10 /100
DOLLARS ($1,017.10); NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and
authorizes payment of ONE THOUSAND SEVENTEEN AND 10 /100 DOLLARS
($1,017.10) to Randalls Center - Baytown as a refund of the
excessive payment of taxes on account number 116- 594 - 000 -0001 for
the tax year 1993.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from
and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown this the 14th day of July,
1994.
