Ordinance No. 6,996940512 -3 ORDINANCE NO. 6996 • AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY TCI CABLEVISION OF TEXAS ON ACCOUNT NUMBER 036 -090 -8 FOR THE TAX YEARS 1990 and 1991 WAS EXCESSIVE; APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY -NINE AND 07/100 DOLLARS ($2,249.07); AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, TCI Cablevision of Texas has applied for a refund of an overpayment of taxes on account number 036 -090 -8 for the tax years 1990 and 1991 alleging a substantial error in the appraisal records; and WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account number 036 -090 -8 were incorrect and has corrected the records to conform them to the requirements of law; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has determined that the payment of taxes on account number 036 -090 -8 for the tax years 1990 and 1991 by TCI Cablevision of Texas was excessive in the amount of TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY -NINE AND 07/100 DOLLARS ($2,249.07); NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and authorizes payment of TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY -NINE AND 07/100 DOLLARS ($2,249.07) to TCI Cablevision of Texas as a refund of the excessive payment of taxes on account number 036 -090 -8 for the tax years 1990 and 1991. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
