Ordinance No. 6,944940224 -9 ORDINANCE NO. 6944 • AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY CITICORP NORTH AMERICA INC. ON ACCOUNT NUMBER 990 -503- 192 -20 FOR THE TAX YEAR 1990 WAS EXCESSIVE; APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED NINETEEN AND 38/100 DOLLARS ($1,419.38); AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, Citicorp North America Inc. has applied for a refund of an overpayment of taxes on account number 990 -503- 192 -20 for the tax year 1990 alleging a substantial error in the appraisal records; and WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account number 990 - 503 - 192 -20 were incorrect and has corrected the records to conform them to the requirements of law; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has determined that the payment of taxes on account number 990 - 503 - 192 -20 for the tax year 1990 by Citicorp North America Inc. was excessive in the amount of ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED NINETEEN AND 38/100 DOLLARS ($1,419.38); NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and authorizes payment of ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED NINETEEN AND 38/100 DOLLARS ($1,419.38) to Citicorp North America Inc. as a refund of the excessive payment of taxes on account number 990 -503- 192 -20 for the tax year 1990. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
