Ordinance No. 6,840931028 -1 ORDINANCE NO. 6840 • A ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE CITY OF HOUSTON FOR FIRST YEAR GRANT FUNDING FOR A PATROL OFFICER ASSIGNED TO THE GULF COAST VIOLENT OFFENDERS TASK FORCE; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make application to the City of Houston for a grant for first year funding for a patrol officer assigned to the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force ( "Operation Trident ") in the amount of THIRTY -FIVE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND N01100 DOLLARS ($35,900.00). Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under the grant. Section 3: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award that may result from the above application. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
