Ordinance No. 6,817930923-42 ORDINANCE NO. 6817 • AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALL TEXAS DEMOLISHING FOR THE DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE SUM OF THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN AND N0/100 DOLLARS ($3,847.00); MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. WHEREAS, a certain structure at 804 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Baytown, Texas was found to be dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare in a public hearing held June 7, 1993 by the City of Baytown Urban Standards Board; and WHEREAS, the City of Baytown submitted the proposed contract to demolish a certain structure at 804 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Baytown, Texas, to competitive bid by publishing notice of the time and place, when and where such contract would be awarded as provided by TEX.L.GOVfT.CODE ANN. S 252.041; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 13, 1993, as provided by said notice; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby finds that the structure at 804 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Baytown, Texas is dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare and needs to be demolished. Section 2: That the City Council hereby accepts the bid of All Texas Demolishing for the demolition and removal of the structure at 804 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Baytown, Texas. Section 3: That the City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with All Texas Demolishing for the demolition and removal of said structure for the sum of THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN AND N0/100 DOLLARS ($3,847.00). Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
