ORDINANCE NO. 6753
AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY
• LOLA BLAKE, c/o KATHRYN BAYNE ON ACCOUNT NUMBER
041 - 022 - 002 -0030 FOR THE TAX YEAR 1992 WAS EXCESSIVE;
APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF ONE THOUSAND
ONE HUNDRED NINETY -ONE AND 36/100 DOLLARS ($1,191.36);
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Lola Blake, c/o Kathryn Bayne has applied for a
refund of an overpayment of taxes on account number
041- 022- 002 -0030 for the tax year 1992 alleging a substantial error
in the appraisal records; and
WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County
Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account
number 041 - 022 --002 -0030 were incorrect and has corrected the
records to conform them to the requirements of law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has
determined that the payment of taxes on account number
041- 022 -002 -0030 for the tax year 1992 by Lola Blake, c/o Kathryn
Bayne was excessive in the amount of ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED
NINETY -ONE AND 36/100 DOLLARS ($1,191.36); NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and
authorizes payment of ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY -ONE AND
36 /100 DOLLARS ($1,191.36) to Lola Blake, c/o Kathryn Bayne as a
refund of the excessive payment of taxes on account number
041- 022 - 002 -0030 for the tax year 1992.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 26th day of August,
1993.

(13) Perform such other functions as may be duly delegated to
them by the City Council.
Section 2- 71.10. Comsission is adjunct of city council.
The commission, and the executive board, are hereby
declared to be an adjunct of the City Council. The City
Manager and all other administrative personnel of the
City are hereby authorized and directed to cooperate with
and assist the commission in carrying out all its powers
and duties at all reasonable times.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent
with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided
however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such
inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be
cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject
matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection,
paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance or the
application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall
for any reason be held unconstitutional, void or invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining
provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons
or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
section 4: This ordinance shall take effect on May 27, 1993.
