AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE
• OF FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND SIX
HUNDRED SEVEN AND N01100 DOLLARS ($112,607.00) FOR THE
PURCHASE OF 9.0333 ACRES OF LAND ON DECKER DRIVE ALONG
GOOSE CREEK STREAM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,
hereby authorizes and approves the expenditure of funds in the
amount of ONE HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SEVEN AND N01100
DOLLARS ($112,607.00) for the purchase of 9.0333 acres of land on
Decker Drive along Goose Creek Stream, as set forth on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference for all
purposes.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 22nd day of July,
1993.

BEING a tract out of the Harvey Whiting Survey, A -840,
Harris County, Texas, and being a part of the Chessie
• Mann 50 acre tract as described in Deed recorded in
Volume 15 at Page 95 of the Deed Records of Harris
County, Texas, the tract herein described being
described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the Southwesterly
right -of -way line of State Highway Spur 330 (Decker
Drive) with the Southeasterly line of the Chessie Mann
Tract, as described in the aforementioned Deed, said
point also being the Northwest corner of a tract now or
previously owned by Eddie V. Gray, for POINT OF
BEGINNING of tract herein described;
THENCE North 370 02' 04"' West with the Southwest right -
of -way line of State Highway Spur 330 a distance of
172.94 feet more or less to the Northeasterly corner of
a 0.3444 acre tract conveyed to Grover E. McDowell and
wife, Patricia M. McDowell, by Deed recorded in Volume
4707 at Page 219 of the Deed Records of Harris County,
Texas.
THENCE, South 520 57" 56" West with the Southeasterly
line of the above mentioned McDowell tract a distance of
200.00 feet to the Southeasterly corner of the McDowell
tract;
THENCE North 370 02,1 040 West with the most Southerly
Northeasterly line of this tract and the Southwesterly
line of the above mentioned McDowell tract passing at
75.00 feet of the Southwesterly corner of the McDowell
tract, said point also being the Southeasterly corner of
a 0.3673 acre tract conveyed to R.E. Lee and wife, Ruth
Lee, as evidenced by Deed recorded in Volume 4486 at
page 555 of the Deed Records of Harris County, Texas,
continuing with the Northeasterly line of this tract
passing at 163.22 feet the Southwesterly corner of the
above mentioned Lee tract, said point also being the
Southeasterly corner of a 0.367 acre tract conveyed to
Ben Riggs and Robert Baker as evidenced by Correction
Deed dated December 19, 1975, filed for record in the
office of the County Clerk of Harris County, Texas,
continuing with the Northeasterly line of this tract
passing at 243.22 feet the Southwesterly corner of the
Riggs and Baker tract as described in the aforementioned
Deed, and the Southeasterly corner of a 0.184 acre tract
conveyed to Ben Riggs and Robert Baker as evidenced by
Correction Deed dated December 19, 1975, filed for
record in the office of the County Clerk of Harris
County, Texas continuing along the Southwesterly line of
• said Riggs and Baker tract, a total distance of 283.22
feet to the Southwesterly corner of the Riggs and Baker
tract last mentioned above;

THENCE North 520 571 560 East with the most Westerly
Southeasterly line of the tract herein described and the
Northwesterly line of the last mentioned Riggs and Baker
S 0.184 acre tract a distance of 200.00 feet to a point
situated in the Southwesterly right -of -way line of State
Highway Spur 330, said point also being the
Northwesterly corner of the Riggs and Baker 0.184 acre
tract;

THENCE North 370 02-* 04"' West with the Southwesterly
right -of -way line of State Highway Spur 330 to the
intersection of such Southwesterly right -of -way line
with the West line of the Chessie Mann 50 acre tract as
described in the aforementioned Deed, said West line as
described in. such Deed being the Easterly edge of Goose
Creek Stream as such stream existed on the date of
conveyance of the aforementioned 50 acre tract to
Chessie Mann;
THENCE in a Southwesterly, Southerly, Southeasterly,
Easterly and Northeasterly direction along the West and
Southerly line of the original Chessie Mann 50 acre
tract as described in the aforementioned Deed, said
Westerly and Southerly line of such tract following the
meanders of the East, North and West bank of Goose Creek
Stream as it existed on date of conveyance of the
aforementioned tract to Chessie Mann by the Deed above
mentioned to the point of intersection of the West bank
of Goose Creek Stream as it existed on the date of
conveyance of said 50 acre tract to Chessie Mann as
hereinabove mentioned with the East or Southeast line of
the Chessie Mann 50 acre tract as described in said
Deed;
THENCE North 30° 1811 521' East with the East line of the
original 50 acre Chessie Mann tract a distance of 319.00
feet, more or less, to the POINT OF BEGINNING, and
enclosing a tract of which 9.268 acres, more or less, is
above average high tide as of December 18, 1975, with
the rest and residue of such tract being either below
the average high tide or completely inundated by the
waters of Goose Creek Steam and /or Goose Lake, the tract
herein conveyed being all of the original Chessie Mann
50 acre tract as described in the aforementioned Deed
which lies South of the right -of -way of State Highway
Spur 330 (Decker Drive) SAVE AND EXCEPT the
aforementioned McDowell tract, R.E. Lee et ux tract and
the two Riggs and Baker tracts which have been
previously conveyed out of the Southerly portion of said
Chessie Mann 50 acre tract.
