Ordinance No. 6,649930527 -3 OP,DINANCE NO. 6549 AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY BAYTOWN SUN, INC. ON ACCOUNT NUMBER 017 -879 -7 FOR THE TAX YEAR 1992 WAS EXCESSIVE; APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY -ONE AND 57/100 DOLLARS ($5,561.57); AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, Baytown Sun, Inc. has applied for a refund of an overpayment of taxes on account number 017 -879 -7 for the tax year 1992 alleging a substantial error in the appraisal records; and WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account number 017 -879 -7 were incorrect and has corrected the records to conform them to the requirements of law; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has determined that the payment of taxes on account number 017 -879 -7 for the tax year 1992 by Baytown Sun, Inc. was excessive in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY -ONE AND 57/100 DOLLARS ($5,561.57); NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and authorizes payment of FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY -ONE AND 57/100 DOLLARS ($5,561.57) to Baytown Sun, Inc. as a refund of the excessive payment of taxes on account number 017 -879 -7 for the tax year 1992. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
