Ordinance No. 6,547930128 -39 ORDINANCE NO. 6547 AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY TEXAS OLEFINS COMPANY ON ACCOUNT NUMBER 045 - 144 -001 -0189 FOR THE YEAR 1992 WAS EXCESSIVE; APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY -SIX AND 90/100 DOLLARS ($2,726.90) ; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, Texas olefins Company has applied for a refund of an overpayment of taxes on account number 045 - 144 -001 -0189 for the tax year 1992 alleging a substantial error in the appraisal records; and WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account number 045 -144- 001 -0189 were incorrect and has corrected the records to conform them to the requirements of law; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has determined that the payment of taxes on account number 045 -144- 001 -0189 for the tax year 1992 by Texas Olefins Company was excessive in the amount of TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY -SIX AND 90/100 DOLLARS ($2,726.90); NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and authorizes payment of TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY -SIX AND 90/100 DOLLARS ($2,726.90) to Texas Olefins Company as a refund of the excessive payment of taxes on account number 045 -144- 001 -0189 for the tax year 1992. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
