Ordinance No. 6,295920813 -1 ORDINANCE NO. 6295 • AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, CHANGING THE CURRENT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY TIME REQUIREMENT FROM TWO TO FIVE YEARS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the current City of Baytown C.D.B.G. Housing Rehabilitation Program requires reimbursement to the City if property improved under the program is disposed of within two years other than by the death of the property owner or his spouse; and WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has suggested that a longer time period would be appropriate; NOW THEREFORE; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: SECTION 1: That the COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY TIME REQUIREMENT is hereby established at five years (5) from the date of closing of the C.D.B.G. Grant except in the event of the death of the property owner or spouse. 1. SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
