Ordinance No. 6,200920326 -12 ORDINANCE NO. 6200 • AN ORDINANCE RENEWING THE CONTRACT OF GULF STATES MATERIALS, INC. FOR THE ANNUAL FLY ASH STABILIZED CALCIUM BASE COURSE, CALCIUM SULFATE FILL MATERIAL AND CEMENT STABILIZED BASE COURSE CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF FORTY -SEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY AND N01100 ($47,750.00) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, Gulf States Materials, Inc. was awarded the annual fly ash stabilized calcium base course, calcium sulfate fill material and cement stabilized base course contract on April 9, 1991, pursuant to competitive bidding procedures, which contract included an option by the parties to renew for an additional one (1) year period; and WHEREAS, Gulf States Materials, Inc, has indicated their willingness to renew the contract for an additional year under the same terms and conditions; and WHEREAS, the Administration has reviewed the market conditions and recommends renewal as being in the best interest of the City; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby renews the contract of Gulf States Materials, Inc. for the annual fly ash stabilized calcium base course, calcium sulfate fill material and cement stabilized base course contract for the sum of FORTY -SEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY AND N01100 ($47,750.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
