ORDINANCE NO. 6168
• AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MARTIN'S UNIFORMS,
R AND R UNIFORMS, INC., AND AL'S UNIFORM SUPPLY FOR THE
ANNUAL POLICE, ANIMAL CONTROL, AND FIRE UNIFORMS
CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
OF THE SUM OF SIXTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY -FOUR
AND 75/100 ($16,834.75) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did
authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to
advertise for bids for the annual police, animal control, and
fire uniforms contract to be received January 24, 1992; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when
and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the
provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;
and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall
at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 1992, as per published notice
to bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Martin's Uniforms for Item 1A, Item 1B,
Item 1C, Item 1E, and Item 2 of the annual police, animal
control, and fire uniforms contract for the sum of SIX THOUSAND
SIX HUNDRED NINETY -ONE AND 60/100 ($6,691.60) DOLLARS, and
authorizes payment thereof.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of R and R Uniforms, Inc. for Item 1D and
Item F of the annual police, animal control, and fire uniforms
contract for the sum of TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTY -THREE
AND 70/100 ($2,363.70) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Al's Uniform Supply for Item 3 of the
annual police, animal control, and fire uniforms contract for the
sum of SEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY -NINE AND 45/100
($7,779.45) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
