Ordinance No. 6,097911212 -9 ORDINANCE NO. 6097 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY SITUATION EXISTS, AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY -SIX AND 64/100 ($2,266.64) DOLLARS TO IMSCO SUPPLY FOR PIPE AND FITTINGS TO REPAIR THE SANITARY SEWER FORCE MAIN AT THE WOODLAWN LIFT STATION; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, a 160 sanitary sewer force main that serves the Woodlawn lift station has failed in the area of the drainage ditch located at the intersection of Kilgore Road and James Street; and WHEREAS, TEX. L.GOV'T.CODE ANN. § 252.022, provides that in case of procurements for the protection of public health or safety, the requirement for competitive bids is not applicable; and WHEREAS, informal bids for pipe and fittings to repair the sanitary sewer force main at the Woodlawn lift station have been obtained, and IMSCO Supply is the low bid; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby declares that an emergency situation exists. Section 2: That payment to IMSCO Supply of the sum of TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY -SIX AND 64/100 ($2,266.64) DOLLARS for pipe and fittings to repair the sanitary sewer force main at the Woodlawn lift station is hereby authorized. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
