ORDINANCE NO. 5962
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE
OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG
THE HIGHWAY 146 RIGHT -OF -WAY, CHAMBERS COUNTY, TEXAS;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,
hereby authorizes and approves the expenditure of funds for the
purchase of a utility easement along the Highway 146 Right -of-
Way, Chambers County, Texas, as set forth on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof by reference for all purposes.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 1st day of August,
1991.

DESCRIPTION
Of 0.3104 acres of land out of a called 47.16 acre tract, as
conveyed from Annie Arrington to R/S C Management Company, Trus-
tee by deed dated .Tune 17, 1968, as recorded in volume 298, Page
521 of the Deed Records of Chambers County, Texas, and being out
of a called 50.154 acre tract conveyed from Mabry S. Busch to R/S
C Management Company, Trustee by deed dated June 17, 1968, as
recorded in Volume 298, Page 512, of the Deed Records of Chambers
County, Texas, all being located in the William Bloodgood Aug.
Survey, Abstract Number 5, Chambers County, Texas, said 0.3104
acres being more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows: (Bearings based on plans of state highway improvements
(State Highway 146) Chambers County, Project No. 0389 -2 -32)
COMMENCING at a point for corner in the south line of said Wil-
liam Bloodgood Aug. Survey, same being the north line of the
B.B.B.6C.R.R. Company Survey, Abstract No. 61, Chambers County,
Texas, same being in the westerly Right -of-way line of State
Highway 146 (based on a 120.00 foot wide Right -Of -Way), from said
point a 2 inch iron pipe was found, 0.24 feet north and 1.69 feet
west;
THENCE North 80'06152" East along the southerly line of said
William Bloodgood Aug. Survey line, a distance of 141.73 feet to
a 5/8 inch iron rod set for corner in the easterly Right -of -way
line of said State Highway 146;
THENCE in a northerly direction along the easterly Right -Of -way
line of said State Highway 146 with a curve to the left, having a
radius of 5,789.58, a central angle of 03'5312811, an arc length
of 393.19 feet, a chord bearing of North 19'56141" East and a
chord distance of 393.12 feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod set for the
PLACE OF BEGINNING of the herein described tract, said iron rod
being in the westerly line of said 47.16 acre tract, and being
the northwest corner of a called 4.74 acre tract, as conveyed
from R/S C Management Company, Trustee to United Texas Transmis-
sion Company, by deed dated March 11, 1982, as recorded in Volume
497, Page 330, of the Deed Records of Chambers County, Texas;
THENCE continuing along the easterly Right -of -Way line of said
State Highway 146 with a curve to the left, having a radius of
5,789.58, a central angle of 07'06106 ", an arc length of 717.60
feet, a chord bearing of North 14'26154" East and a chord dis-
tance of 717.14 feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod set for corner in the
northerly line of said 50.154 acre tract;
THENCE North 79'56106" East along the northerly line of said
50.154 acre tract, a distance of 17.13 feet to a 5/8 inch iron
rod set for corner, being 16 feet easterly line of and measured
radial to the easterly Right -Of -way line of said State Highway
146;
THENCE in a southerly direction with a curve to the right, being
16 feet easterly of the easterly Right -Of -Way line of said State
Highway 146, having a radius of 5,805.58 feet, a central angle of
07'0312611, an arc length of 715.08 feet, a chord bearing of South
14'21157" West and a chord distance of 714.63 feet to a 5/8 inch
iron rod set for corner, being 16 feet northerly of and measured
perpendicular to the northerly line of said 4.74 acre tract;
THENCE South 49'13108" East along a line 16 feet northerly of
said 4.74 acre tract, a distance of 123.38 feet to a 5/8 inch
iron rod set for corner;
THENCE South 40'46'52" West a distance of 16.00 feet to a 5/8
inch iron rod set for corner in the northerly line of said 4.74
acre tract;
