Ordinance No. 5,889910613 -7 ORDINANCE NO. 5889 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, RENEWING THE CONTRACT WITH FIRST AGENCY FOR PROPERTY COVERAGE FOR THE CITY OF BAYTOWN; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST TO THE RENEWAL OF SAID CONTRACT WITH FIRST AGENCY; AUTHORIZING PAYMENTS OF PREMIUMS PURSUANT TO THE TERMS OF SAID CONTRACT; AND PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the Administration to advertise for bids to supply the City of Baytown with property insurance coverage for the City of Baytown, said bids to be received July 15, 1988; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 1988, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, WHEREAS, the selected agent has offered renewal rates which do not substantially vary for property coverages; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby renews property coverages, including facilities, EDP, boiler and machinery, criminal activity, contractors equipment coverages, tenant dwelling, and volunteer firemen, with its contracted agent First Agency. Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with The First Agency, Baytown, and the Director of Personnel is hereby authorized to make payments of premiums pursuant to the terms of said contract, said base premium being ONE HUNDRED TWENTY -FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWELVE AND NO 1100 ($124,812.00) DOLLARS.
