Ordinance No. 5,869910523.6 ORDINANCE NO. 5$69 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF YOUNG ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES FOR THE DEMOLITION/ ASBESTOS ABATEMENT OF A CERTAIN STRUCTURE; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY -NINE AND NO 1100 ($2,249.00) DOLLARS; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. WHEREAS, a certain structure at 200 East Adoue Street, Baytown, Texas was found to be dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare in a public hearing held February 4, 1991 by the City of Baytown Urban Standards Board; and WHEREAS, the City of Baytown submitted the proposed contract for demolition/ asbestos abatement of a certain structure at 200 East Adoue Street, Baytown, Texas, to competitive bid by publishing notice of the time and place, when and where such contract would be awarded as provided by TEX. L. GOV'T. CODE ANN. S 252.041; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 1991, as provided by said notice; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTtOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: The City Council hereby finds that the structure at 200 East Adoue Street, Baytown, Texas is dilapidated, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare and needs to be demolished. Section 2: That the City Council hereby accepts the bid of Young Environmental Services for the demolition /asbestos abatement of the structure at 200 East Adoue Street, Baytown, Texas. Section 3: That the City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with Young Environmental Services for the demolition /asbestos abatement of said structure for the sum of TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY -NINE AND N01100 ($2,249.00) DOLLARS. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
