ORDINANCE NO. 5830
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOE'S PAINT AND BODY
FOR THE PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT PARTS AND THE BODY
REPAIR OF A PATROL CAR AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE
CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED
FIFTY -NINE AND 20/100 ($4,459.20) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did
authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to
advertise for bids for the purchase of replacement parts and the
body repair of a patrol car to be received April 4, 1991; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when
and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the
provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;
and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall
at 2 :00 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 1991, as per published notice to
bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Joe's Paint and Body for the purchase
of replacement parts and the body repair of a patrol car f or the
sum of FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY -NINE AND 20/100
($4,459.243) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 11th day of April,
1991.
