for
Proposed Truck Stop Annexation
Interstate 10 and Thompson Road
HUT
SUMMARY
The area proposed for annexation consists of approximately
17.255 acres located at the southeast corner of the
intersection of IH -10 and Thompson Road. Public hearings
are scheduled for February 28, 1991 at 7:00 pm and 7:15 pm
in the City Hall Council Chambers.
The annexation will be accomplished from an existing strip
of ten feet on the South side of the Interstate 10 right -of-
way that is a city limits line.
Included as a part of this plan are the location map and
field notes for the area.
As a result of this proposed annexation, no additional city
facilities, vehicles, or personnel will be required. At
this time, the property is anticipated to be developed into
a major truck service center (truck stop) which will add a
significant number of jobs and increase the local tax base.
Attached to this summary are the specific Service Plan
elements submitted by each of the major city departments.
The originals of these documents are on file in the City
Clerk's office.
