Ordinance No. 5,810910314 -9 ORDINANCE NO. 5810 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF YOUNG ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, INC. FOR THE DEMOLITION /ASBESTOS ABATEMENT OF A CERTAIN STRUCTURE; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND EIGHTY -FOUR AND N01100 ($2,084.00) DOLLARS; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. WHEREAS, the City of Baytown submitted the proposed contract for demolition/ asbestos abatement of a certain structure at 1306 Cherry, Baytown, Texas, to competitive bid by publishing notice of the time and place, when and where such contract would be awarded as provided by TEX.L.GOV'T.CODE ANN. S 252.041; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 1991, as provided by said notice; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby accepts the bid of Young Environmental Services, Inc. for the demolition /asbestos abatement of the structure at 1306 Cherry, Baytown, Texas. Section 2: That the City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with Young Environmental Services, Inc. for the demolition /asbestos abatement of said structure for the sum of TWO THOUSAND EIGHTY -FOUR AND N01100 ($2,084.00) DOLLARS. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
