Ordinance No. 5,803910314 -2 ORDINANCE NO. 5803 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED ORDINANCE NOMINATING AND DESIGNATING AN AREA OF THE CITY AS BAYTOWN ENTERPRISE ZONE NO. ONE; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: On the 25th day of April, 1991, at 6:45 o'clock p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Baytown, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear and be heard on a proposed ordinance nominating and designating an area of the City as Baytown Enterprise Zone No. 1, which includes the property described in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of the public hearing to be published once in the newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the public hearing, and to give notice to Harris and Chambers Counties, Lee College District and the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District not less than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the hearing, all in accordance with the City of Baytown's current guidelines and criteria for granting tax abatement. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown. HUTTO, Mayor orney 910314 -2a EXHIBIT A ENTERPRISE ZONE 1 That area bounded on the west by North -South Main Street, on the north by the East Jack -North Seventh Street -East James Avenue alignment, on the east by Tenth Street -East Texas Avenue -Tri - Cities Beach Road, on the south by Spur 55 -State Highway 146 -East Republic Avenue; and also includes area within and extending along the Right of way of Spur 55 into Chambers County to include approximately 5 square miles of property owned by the USX Corporation and /or Hoesch Company located partially within the City of Baytown and partially within the Baytown Industrial District including but not limited to the US Steel plant and the Cedar Crossing Business Park; and further generally includes properties adjoining and near State Highway 146 located north of and within 6,500 feet of East James Street and west of North Tenth Street and Deanne Street.
