Ordinance No. 5,705901120 -5 ORDINANCE NO. 5705 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF DEER PARK LUMBER COMPANY AND SHERWIN WILLIAMS COMPANY FOR THE ANNUAL MASONRY, LUMBER, PAINT AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN • OF THE SUM OF THIRTY THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY -THREE AND 55/100 ($30,683.55) DOLLARS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the annual masonry, lumber, paint and construction materials contract to be received November 14, 1990; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 1990, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby rejects all bids for Item No. 1 of the annual masonry, lumber, paint and construction materials contract. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Deer Park Lumber Company for Items No. 2, 3 and 5 of the annual masonry, lumber, paint and construction materials contract for the sum of TWENTY -TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY -EIGHT AND 75/100 ($22,688.75) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Sherwin Williams Company for Item No. 4 of the annual masonry, lumber, paint and construction materials contract for the sum of SEVEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED NINETY -FOUR AND 80/100 ($7,994.80) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
