Ordinance No. 5,636900913 -24 ORDINANCE NO. 5636 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HARRIS COUNTY ORGANIZED CRIME AND NARCOTICS TASK FORCE TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH BILLY D. TIPPIT, ARCHITECTS, INC. FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby authorizes and directs the Director of the Harris County Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force to execute an agreement with Billy D. Tippit, Architects, Inc. for architectural services in remodeling office space leased by the Harris County Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. Section 2: That City Council hereby authorizes payment of TEN THOUSAND AND N01100 ($10,000.00) DOLLARS to Billy D. Tippit, Architects, Inc. for their professional services as architects. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown. It is my understanding rliat you will remodel the entire first floor and relocate A.T. & F. to the fourth floor, and that ire will provide Architectural and NEF plans for permitting and constructing the remudalcd spaces. PHASE IIZ - CONTRACT ADMTNISTRATIONI The general contractor will apply for *11 applicable permits, and will pay all fees concerning those parmits. We will revise plans as needed to obtain a City of Houston building permit during this phase. vurina construction, we will be available to review werk performed by your contractor, but will not bt responsible for the quality of his work. Monthly applications for payment by the contractor will be reviewed and approved for payment, and written reports will be turned in as needed. A final review of the project will be made with the contractor and owner. As -built drawings will be prepared from marked -up plans when supplied to the Architect /ftVrineer by the General Contractor. Two sets of plans will be provided for the permit process. Fee for this phase of the work is $1,$00.00, payable in two equal Monthly payments commencing when work is started on the tenant improvements. rn addition to the above baSia services, we will be Available to provide extra services as required, such as revisions to approved plans, at the hourly rates listed below. All extra services will be billed monthly. Should you decide not to proceed with the project, you agree to pay for all work done by Architect /Rngineer through the date of notice, an a pro -rata share of the too.
