ORDINANCE NO. 5614
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE
OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR PARK PURPOSES;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby authorizes and approves the expenditure of funds
for the purchase of property described in Exhibit "A" for park
purposes, being the expansion of Allenbrook Park. Payment of
NINETY -NINE THOUSAND AND N01100 ($99,000.00) DOLLARS to Baker
III, Ltd. as the owner of record of this property is hereby
authorized and approved.
Section 2: City Council further authorizes and approves
payment of up to THREE THOUSAND AND N01100 ($3,000.00) DOLLARS to
Stewart Title Company for the purchase of a title policy covering
the purchase of the property described in Exhibit "A."
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 13th day of
September, 1990.

FIELD NOTES FOR 4.6115 AC TRACT TO CITY OF BAYTOWN
Being a parcel or tract of land out of the Harvey Whiting Survey,
Abstract Number 840, City of Baytown, Harris County, Texas, being
out of that certain 184.849 acre tract of land conveyed to Conrad
Magouirk by deed recorded under Harris County Clerk's File Number
D313647 and being a part of that certain 13.535 acre tract of
land conveyed to Baker III, Limited by Conrad Magouirk and being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at an iron rod set for the southwest corner of the
herein described tract also being the northwest corner of
Allenbrook Subdivision, Section One, being located in the west
boundary line of the said Magouirk tract;
Thence, North 02 deg 03 min 01 sec East with the west line of the
Magouirk tract a distance of 622.85 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod
found at an angle point in the said west line;
Thence, North 00 deg 48 min 13 sec East continuing with the west
line of the Magouirk tract a distance of 235.07 feet to a
surveyors nail found in concrete curb for the most westerly
northwest corner of this tract;
Thence, South 89 deg 22 min 28 sec East a distance of 120.27 feet
to a 1/2 inch iron rod set for a corner of this tract;
Thence, Forth 00 deg 43 min 09 sec East, crossing the south line
of an Exxon Pipeline Company Easement granted by deed recorded in
Volume 7333, at Page 3 of the Harris County Deed Records at
100.00 feet, and continuing for a total distance of 150.00 feet
to a 1/2 inch iron rod set in the south right -of -way of Baker
Road for the most northerly northwest corner of this tract;
Thence South 89 deg 16 min 53 sec East with the south line of
Baker Road a distance of 34.00 feet to_a 1/2" iron rod set for
the most northerly northeast corner of this tract;
Thence, South 00 deg 43 min 08 sec West crossing the south line
of the said Exxon Pipeline Company Easement at 50.00 and
continuing for a total distance of 523.77 feet to a 1/2 inch iron
rod set for corner;

Thence, South 89 deg 53 min 35 sec East a distance of 140.24 feet
• to a 1/2 inch rod set for the most easterly northeast corner of
this tract being also the northwest corner of a 2.75 acre tract
of land previously conveyed to the City of Baytown;
Thence S 00 deg 06 min 23 sec West with the west line of the City
of Baytown 2.75 acre tract a distance of 282.00 feet to a 1/2
inch iron rod found marking the southwest corner of the said 2.75
acre tract of land and the northwest cornet- of the Allenbrook
Health Care Center for the most easterly southeast corner of this
tract;
Thence, North 89 deg 54 min 57 sec West a distance of 50.22 feet
to a 1/2 inch iron rod found for a corner of this tract;
Thence, South 00 deg 06 min 23 sec West a distance of 200.32 feet
to a 1/2 inch iron rod set in the north line of Allenbrook
Subdivision, Section One for the most southerly southeast corner
of this tract;
Thence North 89 deg 53 min 32 sec West with the north line of
Allenbrook Subdivision, Section One a distance of 264.27 feet to
the Point of Beginning, enclosing a tract of land containing
4.6115 acres, more or less.
