Ordinance No. 5,572900628 -12 ORDINANCE NO. 5572 AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY WILLIAM MOORE ON ACCOUNT NUMBER 1065 - 000 -011 -0 FOR THE TAX YEAR 1985 WAS EXCESSIVE; APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY -FOUR AND 55/100 ($554.55) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, William Moore has applied for a refund of an overpayment of taxes on account number 1065- 000 -011 -0 for the tax year 1985 alleging a substantial error in the appraisal records; and WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account number 1065 - 000 -011 -0 were incorrect and has corrected the records to conform them to the requirements of law; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has determined that the December 14, 1987, payment of taxes on account number 1065 -000 -011 -0 by William Moore was excessive in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY -FOUR AND 55/100 ($554.55); NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby approves and authorizes payment of FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY -FOUR AND 55/100 ($554.55) to William Moore as a refund of the excessive payment of taxes on account number 1065- 000 -011 -0 for the tax year 1985. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
