ORDINANCE NO. 5570
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BEN McPEEK OF
FIRELANDS KENNELS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RENDERED IN
• SUPPLYING AND TRAINING A K -9 DOG AND TRAINING A K -9 UNIT
OFFICER AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
OF THE SUM OF FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND N01100
($4,500.00) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did
authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to
advertise for bids for professional services rendered in
supplying and training a K -9 dog and training a K -9 officer to be
received June 26, 1990; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when
and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the
provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;
and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall
at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 1990, as per published notice to
bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Ben McPeek of Firelands Kennels for
professional services rendered in supplying and training a K -9
dog and training a K -9 officer for the sum of FOUR THOUSAND FIVE
HUNDRED AND N01100 ($4,500.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment
thereof.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 28th day of June,
1990.
