ORDINANCE NO. 5407
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
ADDING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO COUNCIL DISTRICT O. 4;
REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; CONTAINING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 17 (1) of the Charter of the City of
Baytown provides that the City Council shall redistrict the City
if the growth of the City justifies; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed
territory described herein in a Council District; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: Council District N. 4 is hereby redistricted by
the addition of certain property which is described on the
attached Exhibit 'A."
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby
repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the
extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this
ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and
governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3- If any provisions, section, exception,
subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of
circumstances, shall for any reason be held unconstitutional,
void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of
the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application
to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.

BEGINNING at a point located at the intersection of the West right-
of-way line of State Highway 146 and the westerly bank of Cedar
Bayou, said point also being on the existing Baytown city limit
line;
• THENCE, southwestward along the West right-of-way line of State
Highway 146 and along the existing Baytown city limit line to the
intersection with the South right-of-way line of Tompkins Road;
THENCE, North 57 deg 15 min West along the South right-of-way line
of Tompkins Road a distance of approximately 350.00 feet to a
point, said point being the northernmost corner of Tract C-26 in
the Christian Smith Survey, of Harris County, Texas, as described
by the tax records of the City of Baytown;
THENCE, South 09 deg 30 min East a distance approximately 180.00
feet to a point, said point being the Northeast corner of Tract
C-25 in the Christian Smith Survey, of Harris County, Texas, as
described by the tax records of the City of Baytown;
THENCE, South 80 deg 30 min West along the existing Baytown city
. limit line a distance of 630.80 feet to a point, said point being
the Southeast corner of Kingsbend Subdivision, Section I;
THENCE, North 09 deg 29 min 31 sec West with the East line of said
subdivision a distance of 508.80 feet to a point;
THENCE, North 12 deg 28 min 22 sec East with the East line of said
subdivision a distance of 321.95 feet to a point on the South bank
of Carey's Bayou, said point also being the Northeast corner of
Kingsbend Subdivision, Section I;
THENCE, eastward to the intersection of the North bank of Carey's
Bayou and the West bank of Cedar Bayou;
THENCE, northward along the meanders of the West bank of Cedar
Bayou to its intersection with an extension of the North right-
of-way line of Needlepoint Road;
THENCE, eastward along the North right-of-way line of Needlepoint
Road to a point located 1000 feet West of the East right-of-way
line of State Highway 146;
THENCE, northward along a line parallel to and 1000 feet West of
the East right-of-way line of State Highway 146 to its intersection
with the West property line of tract 4-101E-0 of the Chambers
County Map Records;
• Thence, northward along the West property line of tract 4-101E-0
to its intersection with the South right-of-way line of Interstate
Highway 10;
Thence, eastward along the South right-of-way line of Interstate
Highway 10 a distance of approximately 1028 feet to its
intersection with the East right-of-way line of State Highway 146;
THENCE, southward along the East right-of-way line of State Highway
146 to a point, said point being the Northwestern corner of Abbe
Subdivision;
THENCE, westward to a point on the West right-of-way line of State
Highway 146, said point being the Northeast corner of Chambers
County Municipal Utility District No. 1, Tract 4;
THENCE, South 78 deg 30 min 22 sec West, a distance of 1138.63 feet
to a point;
THENCE, South 22 deg 24 min 30 sec East, a distance of 213.39 feet

to a point on the Northeast right-of-way of Southern Pacific

being the westernmost corner of Chambers County Municipal Utility

THENCE, South 51 deg 59 min 57 sec East, a distance of 232.90 feet
along the Northeast right-of-way of Southern Pacific Railroad Co.
to a point;
THENCE, North 77 deg 19 min 56 sec East along the southernmost line
of Chambers County Municipal Utility District No. 1, Tract 3 to a
point located 500.00 feet from the East right-of-way of State
Highway 146;
