ORDINANCE NO. 5345
AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR THE
PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY
AT 5421 INTERSTATE 10; DIRECTING THE PREPARATION OF A
SERVICE PLAN; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK
TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: On the 28th day of September, 1989■ at 7 :00
o'clock p.m. and at 7:15 o'clock p.m., in the City Council
Chambers of the City Hall of Baytown, Texas, the City Council
will hold public hearings giving all interested parties the right
to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of
Baytown, Texas, of the property described in Exhibit "ATM which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof for all intents and
purposes.
Section 2: In compliance with TEX.REV.CIV.STAT. art. 970a,
and TEX.L.GOV'T.CODE ANN. 5 43.056, as amended, the Planning
Department is hereby directed to prepare a service plan that
provides for the extension of municipal service into the area
described in Exhibit "A."
Section 3: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby
authorized and directed to cause notice of each public hearing to
be published once in the newspaper having general circulation in
the City and in the above described territory not more than
twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of
each public hearing, all in accordance with TEX.L.GOV'T.CODE ANN.
5 43.052.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 14th day of
September, 1989.

FIELD NOTES
FOR UNITED PARCEL SERVICE IH -10
Being a parcel or tract of land out of the George Ellis League,
A--21, Harris County, Texas and being out of that certain tract
conveyed by Edwin L. Bruhl, Trustee, to Harry N. Holmes, Trustee,
by deed dated February 20, 1970, and recorded in Volume 7918, Page
580 of the Deed Records of Harris County, Texas and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 2 inch iron pipe found for the Southeast corner of
the abovementioned Harry N. Holmes tract, said point also being the
southwest corner of a tract now or previously owned by Harry
Freeman as recorded in Volume 2951, Page 187 of the Deed Records
of Harris County, Texas and being situated in the North right -of-
way line of Interstate Highway No. 10;
THENCE, North 9 deg 55 min 44 sec West with the East line of the
Holmes tract and the West line of the Freeman tract a distance of
698.30 feet to a 2 inch iron pipe found marking the northeast
corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE, South 76 deg 30 min 55 sec West a distance of 250.00 feet
to a 2 inch iron pipe found marking the northwest corner of the
herein described tract;
THENCE, South 9 deg 55 min 44 sec East a distance of 698.30 feet
to a 2 inch iron pipe found in the North right -of -way line of
Interstate Highway No. 10, marking the southwest corner of the
herein described tract;
THENCE, South 9 deg 55 min 44 sec East a distance of approximately
290.00 feet to a point, said point being in the North boundary line
of the existing city limits of Baytown, said point also being
located North 9 deg 55 min 44 sec West a distance of 10 feet from
the South right -of -way line of Interstate Highway No. 10;
THENCE, North 76 deg 30 min 55 sec East, with the North city limit
line a distance of 250.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE, North 9 deg 55 min 44 sec West a distance of approximately
290.00 feet to a point in the North right -of -way line of Interstate
Highway No. 10, said point being the point of beginning, said tract
of land containing approximately 5.66 acres of land, more or less.
